Remeshok Chetki - Polymer and Delrin Beavertail Editions
The Beavertail Edition of our popular Remeshok chetki feature an elongated end bead, tapered to a stout thickness at the outer end, and rounded for a comfortable experience.
The Beavertails are thus named not because they particularly look like beavertails.. but rather, based on the naming convention for longer, thinner canoe paddles, because they're super slappy (as you'll soon find out), and also, obviously, because Canada, eh. They have a sleek appearance, but it's not just aesthetics. These extended ends have a somewhat surprising effect of locking the ends into place between the fingers. They are narrow enough to slip through the fingers with ease, but when there is tension at an angle, the beads act like a lever. This effectively prevents them from slipping through the fingers when you don’t want them too, and also creates a springiness as the tension is absorbed and released during play.
Since the Beavertails are longer than any end beads we’ve launched to date, we’ve found it wise to shorten up the length of the joining section between the ends. For the new Beavertail mods, we’ve trimmed it down to 16+2. The overall length in each case is similar.
Black Ultem
While we’ve been talking about Black Ultem since the launch of our 2025 Kickstarter campaign, the Beavertail Remeshoks chetki are the first products in this material to hit the AO2 storefront. The beautiful black material packs all the lightweight crispness that you love about Ultem, into a sleek black material that is at home in any setting and any EDC spread. The light weight of the Ultem material works beautifully with the Beavertail form factor, making it snappy and clacky to flip, while maintaining stability in the hand and between the fingers due to the long, end-weighted Beavertail ends.
